We’re not recruiting, beware of fraudsters - FRSC warns job seekers

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has warned Nigerians to be careful about online fraudsters posing as its recruitment agents.

The Public Education Officer of FRSC, Bisi Kazeem, gave the warning in a statement on Thursday in Abuja.

Kazeem stated that the clarification became essential as fraudsters were attempting to defraud gullible job seekers.

The Public Education Officer disclosed that the attention of the FRSC had been drawn to an online publication misinforming the public about the release of shortlisted names for recruitment.

He said, “We want to call the attention of the public and let them know that the service is presently not recruiting neither is there any shortlisted candidates listed on any platform whatsoever.

“Our recruitment processes have always been transparent and made public through adequate notifications on all available media platforms.

“This includes our website: www.frsc.gov.ng, our social media handles and the National Traffic Radio 107.1FM.”

Kazeem further warned members of the public “to desist from any form of engagement with those who are eager to disseminate wrong information as the corps will not be liable if anyone falls victim.”

Federal Road Safety Corps was founded in 1988. It is charged with the responsibilities of preventing or minimising accidents on the highway, educating drivers, motorists and other members of the public generally on the proper use of the highways among others.
