We Won’t Deny It, We Want Marcus Rashford—PSG

Ligue 1 club, Paris Saint-Germain, (PSG) has grown to be quite the top side in Europe despite not winning a Champions League but having possessed a wide crop of talents over the years, and if reports hold true, Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford could be another talent to the club’s host of players.

Well, that all depends on if the club’s president, Al-Khelaifi has his way with the player.

Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the president of PSG, has confirmed the club’s intention to bring Marcus Rashford aboard in January.

He claimed that the English player is wanted by the French champs, who will make an effort to sign him for nothing in January.

The 25-year-old has been admired by PSG for a while, and throughout the summer, negotiations to sign him were held with the player’s representation.

Rashford had a fantastic season in 2021–22, scoring eight goals and regaining his spot in the England team. He also scored three goals at the World Cup in Qatar.

“Again, he is another player that is really amazing and for free, to have Rashford for free, every club would run after him, definitely,” Al-Khelaifi told Sky Sports, confirming PSG’s previous attempts to sign the United star.

“Definitely, there is no hiding it, we spoke before on the interest but the moment was not a good moment for both sides.”

Rashford would like to be included in Gareth Southgate’s starting lineup when the Three Lions take on the defending champions France in the Qatar 2022 World Cup quarterfinals on Friday.

The 25-year-old youth squad product’s current form is one the Red Devils would like to see continue beyond the World.

With players like Kylian Mbappe, Neymar Jr., and Lionel Messi, PSG has one of the most potent attacks in Europe, and it will be interesting to see what Marcus Rashford could do there.
