"We will do everything in Our power to beat Arsenal" -- Van Dijk

Liverpool captain and defender, Virgil van Dijk ahead of a torrid affair versus the elite Arsenal team at Anfield, has vowed to do everything possible in his power to ensure the North London side does not depart Merseyside with a victory.

Both sides ahead of the game, will be going into the fixture looking to reclaim top spot or further their hold on the top spot depending on the results of Friday night.

With the Dutchman eyeing a second premier league title with the Reds, Virgil van Dijk previews a very tough clash between both rivals, remarking that current Arsenal are on a good run of form judging from their recent results.

However, the former Southampton star insists, Liverpool shouldn’t be overlooked in ties like this, insisting despite the minor mishaps for the Reds, they still boast a team capable of frustrating Mikel Arteta’s side in the league.

“Definitely [Saturday is a massive game]. A very tough game ahead of us, Arsenal are in very good shape. Obviously it’s going to be a big one and one that I’m definitely looking forward to. They are very good, they are a very good team in every aspect,” the Liverpool captain said, courtesy of the club’s official website.

“I think they are very good and we have to be very good as well at the weekend to win the game. But I love to look at my own team and I love to look at what we can bring to the table, and we have a lot to do as well and we can make it very difficult for them too.” he insisted.

However, the one time Ballon d’Or nominee goes tough when telling fans what to expect on Saturday evening;

“I have got massive respect for them. But I want to win the game and we will do everything in our power and my power to do so.”
