We have what China lacked — Super Falcons coach, Randy Waldrum
Nigeria vs England promises to be quite the spectacle if Super Falcons’ head coach, Randy Waldrum is true to his words about the England team and its dynamics against China.
China crumbled to a 6-1 heavy defeat to Europe’s heavy hitters in the final match of the group stage for Group D, with England running rout thanks to the mystical wonders of Lauren James.
However, according to Randy Waldrum, this will not be the Super Falcons team as he promises his side will use their athleticism to neutralize England in the round of 16 encounter.
The 9-time WAFCON champions will enter hostilities versus the European women champions at Lang Park in Brisbane on Monday for a berth in the quarter-finals.
Using the 6-1 humiliation of China by England on Tuesday as a case study. Waldrum claimed the European champions used their power to overcome the Chinese in the match.
The American however states that the Super Falcons will capitalize on their speed and power to beat Sarina Wiegman’s Lionesses’ side.
“The one difference between us and China is that they don’t have our speed and our strength,” the American told reporters.
“China was organized but England was too powerful and played around them.
“We will have to use our strengths to neutralize England.” the Super Falcons coach said.
