We Have Massive Problems—Jamie Carragher Declares

The Premier League is such a banger isn’t it, especially when struggling teams like Leeds United and Nottingham Forest can steal out 3 points consecutively from Liverpool, but for Jamie Carragher, he sees it as massive problems on Liverpool’s side.

Fair play to his opinion though, the Merseyside Reds found themselves culprit to the ill-luck that befell them last weekend against Nottingham Forest again against a Jesse Marsch’s Leeds United to record a consecutive Premier League loss but this time, at Anfield.

The game was all about breaking the records; for Leeds United and also for Liverpool as Virgil van Dijk saw his unbeaten record lost in his 71st game as a Liverpool player at Anfield.

Of course, it wasn’t just on Virgil van Dijk but on the whole team as for the first time since 2017, the Reds lost a Premier League game at Anfield with spectators in the stadium, something which for Jamie Carragher already spells doom for the Reds.

The former Liverpool defender, Jamie Carragher stated that the team has “massive problems” following their 2-1 defeat to Leeds United.

Crysencio Summerville proved the villain on the night with his 89th-minute strike to ensure Leeds claimed a memorable 2-1 win at Anfield.

Mohamed Salah had been on target to cancel out Rodrigo Moreno’s early opener that resulted from a defensive mishap from Liverpool.

The result leaves Jurgen Klopp’s men sitting ninth place and eight points off the top four currently.

“It’s a huge result for Leeds but Liverpool have got massive problems. This isn’t a blip for Liverpool, this is a serious problem. Klopp must be thinking, what else can I try now, different permutations, formations, personnel,” Jamie Carragher said on Saturday Night Football.

Liverpool have themselves to blame for the loss with its players seen as all too relaxed in the game, with Joe Gomez and Fabinho being recurring villains for their team.
