Patoranking, renowned reggae and dancehall artist, has voiced his perspective on the untimely demise of the young musician Ilerioluwa Aloba, more commonly known as Mohbad.

He believes that the tragic event could have been averted, shedding light on the circumstances surrounding the late artist’s death.

The passing of Afrobeat sensation MohBad gave rise to a wave of controversies and protests across the nation, as many suspected foul play in his demise and demanded justice for the young musician.

MohBad had been signed under Naira Marley’s Marlian Music record label, making his death even more shocking to the music industry and its dedicated fan base.

Patoranking, while speaking about Mohbad’s passing during an appearance on the Afrobeats Podcast, expressed his view that the singer’s death might have been preventable had closer attention been paid to his lyrics.

He underlined the importance of seeking justice for Mohbad and conveyed his belief that the late artist did not deserve the tragic fate that befell him.

The reggae and dancehall artist shared his personal connection to Mohbad, revealing,

“It’s so sad when you open your phone and you see Mohbad’s pictures, and you come to the realization that he is not coming back again. It’s still hard to believe that he is gone.

“I sent him a DM in April just to commend his work, and he replied to me.”
