We can’t find the cure to Celione Dion’s illness — Claudette Dion
World famous Canadian musician, Celine Dion currently battles Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS) an ailment that has been described by Dion’s sister, Claudette Dion as without a working cure.
The popular singer disclosed her ailment in December of 2022 after being diagnosed of the incurable disease.
Stiff Person Syndrome is a disease that affects the body’s joints and muscles, causing them to stiffen and create pain and emotional distress to the patient.
In a statement made public on her Twitter handle in May 2023, Céline Dion announced the cancellation of all her 2023 and 2024 world tours over her battle with the neurological disorder.
On an update about Celine Dion‘s health in an interview with Le Journal de Montreal, Claudette reveals that there has been little improvement in the artiste’s health since her diagnosis.
“We can’t find any medicine that works but having hope is important. We are working closely with researchers who are specialized in the rare condition,” Claudette said.
The Stiff Person Syndrome neurological disorder is believed to be an ailment that affects little population of people around the world, with statistics noting it isn’t common in a large population of people.
