Walt Disney has disclosed  that it is set  to start the construction of an affordable housing development in Central Florida next year.

The first units of the housing project are expected to be completed in 2026.

The development is part of Disney’s ongoing commitment to provide affordable housing options to its employees and the local community.

The housing project is expected to include a mix of apartment buildings and townhouses, with a total of approximately 1,000 units.

According to Disney, the housing project will be located on a 258-acre site that the company had previously used for its golf course.

The site is situated near Disney’s theme parks and will offer easy access to transportation options.

Disney’s announcement comes at a time when affordable housing has become a major issue in Central Florida. With rising real estate prices and a shortage of affordable housing options, many local residents are struggling to find suitable housing options.

The planned affordable housing development is expected to provide much-needed relief to the local community, and will help Disney to retain its employees by providing them with affordable housing options. The project is also expected to create jobs and stimulate economic growth in the area.
