He said, “APC should be properly monitored as it could choose to buy votes with food items. But for us in PDP, we are loved and people know that we are for them and they will be willing to support us without inducement.”

Also, the spokesperson for the APC in the state, Mr Kola Olabisi, dismissed the allegation. “It is the figment of the imagination of those spreading such. PDP is afraid of defeat and they will look for excuse why they fail. It should be discarded,” he added

 

Meanwhile, The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has issued a warning to voters that the use of mobile phones or any photographic device inside the voting cubicle is prohibited during elections.

This warning was made by Barrister Festus Okoye, the National Commissioner and Chairman of INEC Voter Education and Publicity Committee, during a news programme on Channels Television.

Barrister Festus Okoye stated that anyone caught taking pictures of the party they cast their votes for will be prosecuted and jailed.

He also mentioned that officials from the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), and security agencies will be present to monitor and ensure compliance with the law. Read MORE
