Vivienne Jolie-Pitt drops Dad's last name

Vivienne Jolie-Pitt is making a bold statement in her Broadway debut, choosing to drop her father’s last name professionally. The 15-year-old daughter of Hollywood A-listers Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie is currently credited as “Vivienne Jolie” in the playbill for the Broadway show ‘The Outsiders,’ where she works as a producer’s assistant.

According to a report from Entertainment Tonight, this decision wasn’t due to a lack of space but was a deliberate choice by Vivienne herself. It appears she prefers to distance herself from her father’s surname, following in the footsteps of her older sister, Shiloh Jolie, who legally dropped “Pitt” on her 18th birthday.

Angelina Jolie, who is also a producer on the musical, might be the producer Vivienne is assisting, adding an intriguing layer to the family dynamics, especially from Brad Pitt’s perspective.

This move by Vivienne reflects a broader trend among the Jolie-Pitt children. Shiloh’s legal name change and Zahara’s preference not to use the Pitt surname suggest a growing distance from their father, Brad Pitt, particularly since his and Angelina’s high-profile divorce in 2016.

The Jolie-Pitt family continues to capture public attention, and Vivienne’s professional name change is the latest development in their evolving story.
