Grand events celebrating the golden jubilee of the creation of Lagos State ended with a big bang as 50 top artistes making waves on the Lagos entertainment scene were on hand to thrill music lovers from all walks of life.

The musical concert was held at the Eko Atlantic City and attended by Gov. Akinwunmi Ambode, members of his cabinet, as well as music lovers who swayed to the rhythmic sonorous sounds from their favourite artistes that cut across various genres.

Some notable artistes included juju music maestros like Evangelist Ebenezer Obey and legendary Highlife patriarch, Sir Victor Olaiya, Shina Peters.

Others were fuji musicians like Pasuma, Malaki, Abbas Akande, Adewale Ayuba, and Queen Salawa Abeni.

The majorly youthful crowd however also went wild in excitement as Olamide, Humble Smith, Sound Sultan, Lil Kesh, Banky W, MI, Eedris Abdulkareem, Phyno, Partoranking, Runtown, Vanessa, DJ Spinall, amongst other hip hop artistes each performed their hit songs.

Also Fuji artistes like, Adewale Ayuba, Abass Akande Obesere and Wasiu Alabi (Pasuma Wonder).

Another highpoint of the night was a spectacular fireworks display which began at midnight and lasted 15 minutes.
