Victor Osimhen unveiled by Galatasaray in stunning Video

Galatasaray has officially unveiled Nigerian Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, who joined the Turkish Super League club on a season-long loan from Napoli.

The announcement was made through a video shared on the club’s social media platforms on Wednesday, featuring Osimhen’s arrival in Istanbul.

In the video, the 24-year-old, donning his trademark mask, confidently declares, “We are the best,” while pointing towards the Europa League trophy, signalling his intent for the upcoming season.

Osimhen’s move to Galatasaray ends a prolonged transfer saga that involved negotiations with Chelsea and Saudi club Al Ahli. Despite interest from both clubs, a deal was not reached, and Osimhen’s future remained uncertain until Galatasaray secured the loan.

The Turkish club confirmed in an official statement that the transfer was made without a fee. Osimhen is set to earn a net salary of €6 million for the 2024-2025 season, amounting to approximately €115,000 per week after tax.

Osimhen, recently crowned African Footballer of the Year, will wear the number 45 jersey for Galatasaray. This loan deal, while temporary, offers Napoli the option to extend his contract until 2027.

The signing is seen as a significant boost for Galatasaray, with the club expressing high expectations for the striker in the upcoming season.
