Victor Osimhen Responds To Manchester United Links

Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen has responded to rumours linking him to Manchester United this summer, saying he cannot predict the future.

The 24-year-old striker has been in sublime form for Napoli this season, contributing 23 goals in 28 appearances and helping the team secure an 18-point lead in the Serie A. He scored twice on Wednesday to ensure Napoli’s 3-0 win against Eintracht Frankfurt in the Champions League, securing their quarter-final berth.

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has made signing a new striker one of his top priorities this summer, and Victor Osimhen is one of the players rumoured to be on his list. However, when asked about the possibility of joining Manchester United, Osimhen remained tight-lipped.

“I don’t know what the future holds,” Victor Osimhen told Sport1. “I think I’m on the right track. At the end of the season, I will sit down with my agents and discuss everything. I am incredibly grateful to Napoli. We will find a good solution together.”

The Nigerian international joined Napoli from Lille in a deal reportedly worth €70m in 2020. He has since made a significant impact in the team, earning him a reputation as one of the most talented young strikers in Europe. Osimhen’s current contract with Napoli runs until 2025.

It is common for football players to be linked with various clubs during transfer windows, and Osimhen’s response to the rumours linking him with Manchester United is a typical one. As a professional football player, Osimhen is focused on his current club, Napoli, and helping them achieve their goals.

It is also not surprising that Manchester United would be interested in signing Osimhen, given his impressive performances for Napoli this season. However, it remains to be seen whether the club will make a concrete move for him in the upcoming transfer window.

Overall, Osimhen’s response suggests that he is focused on his current club and will consider his options at the end of the season, with the support of his agents and Napoli.
