Victor Osimhen has earned a Premier League Move Osimhen

Nigerian football legend Austin Jay Jay Okocha has encouraged Victor Osimhen to make a move to the English Premier League this summer.

Victor Osimhen has been linked with several Premier League giants, including Chelsea and Manchester United, following his successful campaign with Serie A leaders Napoli.

The 24-year-old has also expressed his desire to play in the English top flight in the future. Okocha, who played for Bolton Wanderers in the Premier League, admitted that playing in the Premier League would be ideal for Osimhen.

“Well, I mean he’s done well, he’s having a great season,” Okocha told the BBC. “And I think he duly deserves the praise he’s getting, but the ultimate for him is to play in the Premier League which he has made clear as well.”

Victor Osimhen, joined Napoli from Lille  and has since been in fantastic form, especially this season, scoring 21 goals in 23 league appearances for the Italian side. His impressive performances have caught the attention of several top clubs in Europe, including those in the Premier League.

Chelsea and Manchester United are among the clubs reportedly interested in signing the Nigerian international. Chelsea are keen to add to their attacking options, while United are looking to bolster their squad ahead of next season’s title challenge.

Osimhen’s pace and finishing ability make him an attractive prospect for top Premier League clubs. He has also proven himself as a reliable goal scorer in one of Europe’s top leagues.

Should Osimhen make a move to the Premier League, he would join a growing list of Nigerian players who have made their mark in the English top flight. The likes of Nwankwo Kanu, Jay Jay Okocha, and John Obi Mikel have all had successful careers in the Premier League.

It remains to be seen whether Osimhen will make a move to the Premier League this summer, but with interest from top clubs, it seems likely that he will be playing in one of Europe’s top leagues next season.
