Veteran Actor, Yemi Shodimu cries out over hike in petrol price
Popular ace actor Yemi Shodimu has gone on social media to lament the recent hike in the price of petrol and the ongoing scarcity.
The veteran actor cried out after he got petrol for N1,000 per litre.
Sharing the sad moment on video platform, TikTok, Shodimu sang a re-composed song, thanking God for being able to buy 30 litres of petrol at N30,000.
“I thank God I was able to buy fuel. I thank God I was able to get fuel. N30, 000 for 30 litres,” he sings.
“Are we seriously okay?”
Recall that the government recently increased petrol prices after removing fuel subsidies in 2023.
However, on September 3, the NNPC increased the price of petrol across its retail outlets, selling N855 per litre.
Other filling stations sell as high as N1200 per litre with Nigerians bracing up for a nationwide protest.
