Vamos Alexis Mac Allister — Liverpool announces new signing
Liverpool have officially announced the signing of Alexis Mac Allister ahead of the upcoming season, following a successful medical on Tuesday.
The Argentine International joins the Merseyside club from Brighton and Hove Albion on a 5-year contract that runs through to June 2028 for a reported fee of £35 million as confirmed by Italian Journalist.
This begins Liverpool’s walk through a midfield rebuild that the club’s fan base have craved for since last season.
Alexis Mac Allister comes into the team boasting of a versatility that allows him to thrive as a central midfielder, defensive midfielder and as an attacking midfielder when the game calls for it.
“We have reached an agreement for the transfer of @alemacallister from Brighton & Hove Albion on a long-term deal for an undisclosed fee” the club had announced on Twitter.

Alexis Mac Allister takes on the shirt number 10 that was last worn by Liverpool legend Sadio Mane 2 seasons ago.
The midfielder, however, disclosed that he had the chance to select a different shirt number but opted for a more significant one that holds special meaning to the club. He chose to wear the number 8 jersey, which was famously worn by Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard.
On joining the Reds, Mac Allister said to the club’s official media team:
“It’s amazing to be here and I can’t wait to get started”
