US: Nancy Pelosi’s husband arrested for DUI
Paul Pelosi, husband to the Speaker of House of Representatives, US, Nancy Pelosi has been arrested.
He was arraigned in Napa, California by highway patrol on suspicion of driving under the influence.
The 82-year-old was booked on two counts for the incident at 4.13 am on Sunday, May 29.
A spokesperson for Nancy (D-Calif.) said that she would not be commenting on the “private” matter.
And continued, “The Speaker will not be commenting on this private matter which occurred while she was on the East Coast.”
The two misdemeanour charges are driving under the influence and driving with a blood alcohol content level of 0.08 or higher.
He is believed to have been released after posting $5,000 in bail.
The well-known millionaire businessman has been married to Nancy since 1963.
