The US Supreme Court has paused   the execution of Richard Glossip, an Oklahoma death row inmate.

This decision comes after a long legal battle and an intense public outcry against the death penalty as Glossip has been on death row since his conviction for murder in 1998.

However, his case has been mired in controversy, with supporters arguing that he is innocent and that his conviction was based on unreliable testimony from a key witness.

In an interview with CNN’s Brynn Gingras, Glossip spoke about the moment he heard the news of the stay of execution. He said, “The fight’s never done. You just keep on fighting, and I’m just going to keep fighting until the truth comes out.”

Glossip’s case has drawn widespread attention from advocates of criminal justice reform and opponents of the death penalty. Many argue that the use of capital punishment is inherently flawed and that innocent people like Glossip can end up on death row.

The decision by the Supreme Court to grant a stay of execution is a temporary reprieve for Glossip, but his case is far from over. Supporters say they will continue to fight for his release and for a fair trial.
