The United States Consulate has disclosed the opening of its EducationUSA Advising Centre in Ibadan, Oyo State.

The consulate stated that the centre would provide a regular schedule of individual, group and online advising sessions.

It is aimed to allow more students to pursue their dreams of studying in the United States.

The US Consulate Public Affairs Officer, Stephen Ibelli, declared that the centre would help prospective undergraduate and graduate students in navigating the admissions process.

It would give detailed and exact information about the higher education institutions in the United States.

He said, “Nigeria is home to so many talented, ambitious young people, who often ask us about studying in the United States.

“EducationUSA presents an opportunity for young Nigerians to obtain a world-class education in the United States and then return home to contribute to Nigeria’s economic growth and development.”

The Oyo State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Sunkanmi Olaleye, indicated the willingness of the State Government to partner the US Consulate to extend access to the services of the new centre.
