Unknown Gunmen kidnap Plateau LG chairman, Henry Gotip

The Chairman oo Kunle Local Government Council in Plateau State, Hon Henry Gotip have been reportedly kidnapped by unknown gunmen.

TopNaija reports that in the wee hours of Wednesday, September 7 the Secretary of ALGON, Plateau State, Henry Gotip was found missing after some assailants, suspected to be kidnappers, stormed his residence in Jos South Local Government Council of the State.

According to a source, the gunmen were shooting randomly to chase off civilians before kidnapping the victim to an unknown location.

Confirming the incident, the Spokesperson of the Police in the State, Alfred Alabo, stated that the Police Command has sent out a tactical team to rescue the kidnapped victim.

“The Police Commissioner is on top of the situation as he has sent a team of police officers to the area who are working in collaboration with the vigilante to rescue the Council Chairman,” he stated.

He, however, urged the public to report any suspicious movement around their vicinity even as they go about their normal daily activities.
