Unidentified assailants behead 2 Soldiers; mail their heads to Family in mockery

The trending story in the news doing the rounds comes a shock report of two couple soldiers meeting an untimely end at the hands of unknown Gunmen on Saturday.

The Gunmen were said to have made an example of the two, who from reports were identified as been married couples that were shot dead and then beheaded in South Eastern Nigeria.

The reports then go on to state that the couple’s family were called by said gunmen as a direct mockery of the couple’s victimization and fate at their hands. Military sources in their confirmation to Sahara Reporters, disclosed the Soldier’s name as A.M Linus, who is identified as a sergeant first class in the army and his wife, a lance corporal.

The reports further revealed the two were on their way to Imo State when they were attacked and met their untimely fate.

A graphic video of the incident that had been disclosed to the press showed the gunmen placing the beheaded body parts on the victims’ chests after the attack.

Further reports revealed A. M Linus had at a point being married to another woman who had children for him, and is survived by a father and a brother who also is a soldier working at a battalion in Kaduna. The lady soldier was disclosed to have been raped before her beheading.

The development comes hours after gunmen had invaded a military checkpoint in Agulu, Anaocha LGA of Anambra state on Saturday and opened fire on soldiers.

Though nothing is confirmed nor any group linked to the attacks, but the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), an outlawed group has been looked at in suspect as to the deadly attacks in the region, allegations which have been repeatedly denied by the group.
