Umuada meeting dispersed with cane as Coronavirus lockdown continues
The lockdown across various states in Nigeria is being met with different levels of compliance. A viral video shows a noncompliant Umuada group in one of the South-East states being dispersed from their meeting with a cane by some Coronavirus Taskforce officials.
Members of the married women/daughters group were accused of contravening an order against public gathering, following an outbreak of coronavirus in the country. The items they left behind were reportedly confiscated.
