Ugochi Ihezue wins 30th MBGN competition

It was a night of glam and beauty as the 2017 Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria competition came to an end and a winner was chosen.

Miss Ugochi Ihezue, representing Kebbi State emerged as the winner of the 2017 MBGN competition and has been crowned 2017 MBGN World.

The 30th Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria pageant held on Friday,15th September at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos with the theme, Gender Based Violence; The Plight of the Nigerian Woman.

The competition saw 36 beautiful contestants vying for the highly sought after MBGN crown and a chance to represent Nigeria at the Miss World pageant.

The judges for the night were Lanre Tejuoso, Her Excellency Olufunsho Amosun, Producer of Banana Ghost Biola Alabi, Gozie Ochuba, Ogechukwu Ochaba and renowned actress Stephanie Linus.

There were exceptional performances from singers Olamide, Harry song and others to keep the audience entertained.

Miss Amity – Miss Yobe, Ndali Eno

Miss Photogenic/Congeniality – Miss Anambra, Maristella Okpala

Model of the Year – Miss Kebbi, Ugochi Ihezue

Best Costume – Miss Sokoto, Stephanie Agbasi

Best Evening Wear – Miss Bayelsa, Rebecca N Hampson

MBGN Ecowas – Miss Oyo, Emmanuella Yaboh

MBGN Tourism – Miss Plateau, Winfrey Okolo

MBGN Universe – Miss Sokoto, Stephanie Agbasi

Miss Bayelsa, Miss Sokoto, Miss Plateau and Miss Oyo were the other top five finalists while the winner, Ugochi Ihezue was crowned by outgoing queen, Unoaku Anyadike.
