UEFA Champions League Round of 16 Draw And Predictions

As promised, the UEFA football body has organized the Champions League round of 16 draws and announced it in front of audiences ahead of the coming World Cup games and before the New Year comes kicking.

Like it was expected before hand, there were a couple of easy draws and tough draws for the teams going into the knock out stages. Clubs like Manchester City have the easy draws at least on face value against Red Bull Leipzig, Benfica facing off against Club Brugge, Napoli facing off against Eintracht Frankfurt.

The tougher draws has Borussia Dortmund facing off against Chelsea, Inter Milan facing off against FC Porto which is somewhat a tricky fixture for Inter, their city rivals AC Milan facing off against premier league side, Tottenham Hotspur. Then there is German giants Bayern Munich facing off against their 2019/20 fellow finalist, Paris Saint Germain in the draw.

The round of 16 draw seems to be all about the finalists of previous seasons, this season with 2 sets of finalists, PSG vs. Bayern Munich, Liverpool vs. Real Madrid taking on each other.

For Real Madrid, it will considered quite an easy fixture though, facing off against a toothless and spineless Liverpool side in the round of 16 to gift them yet another chance into the quarter finals.

But for Paris Saint Germain, it holds a lot of tension seeing this fixture go down for both them and their rivals and 2019/20 finalists, which we reckon holds lots of entertainment compared to the Liverpool vs. Real Madrid fixture.

The Champions League ties will be played over two legs, with seeded teams at home in the second legs.

The first legs are scheduled for 14/15/21/22 February, with the second legs on 7/8/14/15 March.
