Uber Nigeria reacts to news on the regulation of taxi services by the Lagos State Government

The Lagos state Government recently announced that it will begin clamping down on vehicles under the Uber platform who were not registered under its Road Traffic Regulations on Taxi Operations Law which was passed in April 2015.

Uber has reacted to the news saying that the government was erroneously classifying vehicles under its platforms as taxis when Uber really operates a cab hire service. The company resolves to keep interfacing with relevant government agencies and parastatals.
