U.S Elections: Trump goes there with Joe Biden
Former U.S president Donald Trump had to go that route with America’s president, Joe Biden as he challenges the Democrat to a game of golf.
In a move that merges politics with jest, former President Donald Trump has thrown down an unexpected gauntlet, challenging President Joe Biden to an 18-hole golf match. The proposition follows their previous debate banter about golf, adding a twist to their ongoing rivalry.
This is obvious in mockery of the health and mental status of the U.S president who has been alleged to be suffering from dementia by a few media outlets.
Speaking at his Doral golf course in Miami, Trump reiterated his desire for another debate, this time on the green. With characteristic bravado, he poked fun at Biden’s swing and upped the ante by offering $1 million to a charity of Biden’s choice if he lost.

Confident in his golfing prowess, Trump even suggested giving Biden a 20-stroke handicap.
“It will be among the most-watched sporting events in history,” Trump claimed, envisioning it to eclipse even the Ryder Cup or the Masters. However, he expressed skepticism about Biden accepting the challenge, adding, “I would bet, ’cause he’s all talk.”
The Biden camp swiftly brushed off the challenge, dismissing it as another one of Trump’s “weird antics.”
A spokesperson for Biden responded pointedly:
“Joe Biden doesn’t have time for Donald Trump’s weird antics. He’s busy leading America and defending the free world. Donald Trump is a liar, a convict, and a fraud only out for himself – par for the course.”
While Trump’s challenge may come across as an unorthodox publicity stunt, it underscores his flair for showmanship and his ability to blend entertainment with political discourse. Whether Biden will engage in this proposed golf duel remains to be seen, but for now, the offer has added another layer of drama to the already complex narrative of their rivalry.
In the world of political theater, this challenge might just be a hole-in-one for Trump, even if no golf clubs are swung.
