U.S debate: Kamala Harris calls more, but Trump denies defeat

When Donald Trump is involved, it is sure going to be a spectacle only in this spectacle, Vice President Kamala Harris is the one being seen as the winner.

The first heated clash between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump set the political world on fire, and now Harris is calling for more. After their explosive debate in Philadelphia, the Harris campaign wasted no time in pushing for a second matchup, confident in her performance and eager for another face-off with Trump in October.

Harris’s campaign chair, Jen O’Malley Dillon, declared the vice president as the clear victor of the night, stating,

“Under the bright lights, the American people saw the choice—move forward with Kamala or go backwards with Trump.” Not one to miss an opportunity, Harris directly challenged Trump to a rematch.

Former President Barack Obama also joined the post-debate conversation, hailing Harris as the leader America needs to unite the country and take it forward, while Trump doubled down on his claims that the debate was biased against him.

Credit to the United States’ Vice President, Kamala Harris didn’t hold back during her first presidential debate with Donald Trump, and one of her sharpest jabs had the former president fuming. Harris baited Trump with a pointed critique of his infamous rallies, claiming people walk out before they even finish—because they’re simply too boring.

In a bold move, Harris invited the audience to witness what she called the spectacle of a Trump rally:

“You will see during the course of his rallies, he talks about fictional characters like Hannibal Lecter… And what you will also notice is that people start leaving out of exhaustion and boredom,” she quipped.

Trump, visibly irked, took the bait and fired back even though the debate had already moved to another topic.

“People don’t go to her rallies,” Trump shot back, accusing Harris of busing in attendees and suggesting her supporters were staged.

The heated exchange quickly became one of the night’s most memorable moments, as Harris unexpectedly and successfully landed a blow that pushed Trump off his talking points.

With both sides claiming victory and tensions rising ahead of the November election, one thing is clear: this political battle is just heating up, and a second debate might be the deciding factor.

For what it is worth, America is headed for comedic times and both sides have proven they are a match for each other. The world watches and the world is ready for the humor that would take center stage.
