Two Chinese expatriates, Chen Wenguang and Liang Ding, were kidnapped on Sunday in the Kémta/Abule-Owu area along Onigbedu Road, Ogun State, around 1:45 p.m.

The duo, who worked with Good One Carton Company, were abducted while visiting friends at a nearby village, Kémta, without notifying their company’s security personnel or the police.

Ogun State Police Command spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the incident on Monday, stating that the kidnappers had contacted the company to demand a ransom for their release.

Despite extensive search efforts by police, local vigilantes, military personnel, and other security groups, the expatriates have not yet been found.

This incident follows the recent abduction of three Indian nationals on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, who were released after three days in captivity. Efforts to rescue Wenguang and Ding are ongoing.
