Twitter job advert goes viral for giving 5-10% 'stealing allowance' topnaija.ng

Brand strategist, Samuel Otigba, took to Twitter to share a job advert as he searched for a reliable employee but the advert has gone viral for offering a 5-10% ‘stealing allowance’.

Samuel Otigba, who was nominated for Forbes 30 under 30 in 2018, tweeted:

Looking for someone I can trust to manage my food factory in Kaduna. Good pay with health insurance. You can steal cause I know you will & I can’t control it, but keep the thieving within 5-10% of the total net profit & we are good.”

Some Twitter users found his tweet amusing and said he was being realistic with his expectations. However, others accused him of implying that all Nigerians are potential thieves.

Below are his tweets and reactions to them.

I love to read, write and TRAVEL!!! The media space is my canvas to paint the truths of our brands and the stories of our Nigerian culture. I love a good book any day because with them I can travel to spaces that are perfect in their frame.
