Transfer: 'Tough' Man United star could be on the move again

Manchester United’s rising star Hannibal Mejbri could be on the move again this summer as he seeks regular first-team action away from Man United. The talented Tunisia international has struggled to cement his place in Erik ten Hag’s squad since the Dutchman’s arrival in 2022.

Mejbri’s journey has been anything but smooth. Reports surfaced of a heated training ground altercation with former teammate Alex Telles during Ralf Rangnick’s tenure, just before Ten Hag took the helm. This clash, following a crushing 4-0 defeat to Brighton, reportedly left teammates stunned and led to Mejbri’s loan spell at Birmingham City for the 2022/23 season.

Despite showing promise, his subsequent loan to Sevilla saw limited success, with just six La Liga appearances and a declined £17m purchase option. Now, with interest from Scottish giants Rangers and Danish club FC Copenhagen, Mejbri’s future hangs in the balance.

Rangers’ manager Philippe Clement has prioritized the dynamic midfielder, having observed him in a recent friendly where Man United triumphed 2-0. While Copenhagen has initiated talks, Hannibal Mejbri appears hesitant about a move to Denmark, making a switch to Ibrox more likely.

As Ten Hag looks to streamline his squad, Hannibal Mejbri and Scott McTominay are reportedly on the list of potential departures. With one year left on his current contract at Man United, Mejbri’s next move could shape his career trajectory.
