Transfer: The future of Mason Greenwood as it stands

In a significant development in the summer transfer window, Olympique Marseille are leading the charge to secure the services of Mason Greenwood. Sources confirm that Marseille have sent a formal bid to Manchester United, with negotiations gaining momentum.

Greenwood was notably absent from Manchester United’s training session today, underscoring the club’s intent to facilitate his exit. Manchester United are reportedly open to a loan deal with an obligation to buy, or a permanent transfer that includes a substantial sell-on clause.

Barcelona are interested in signing Mason Greenwood

As discussions between the clubs continue, it is clear that Greenwood remains Marseille’s primary target. The French side is eager to finalize the deal and integrate the talented forward into their squad as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, Lazio’s president, Claudio Lotito, reflected on last year’s near-miss in acquiring the Manchester United player.

“The deal to sign Mason Greenwood was close last year but then it collapsed at the final stages,” Lotito revealed.

However, he hinted at an exciting alternative: “Now I’ve one more name on the list. I can’t share the name but he’s ten times better than Greenwood.”

As Marseille push to close the deal, the football world watches closely to see if Greenwood will don the blue and white of Olympique Marseille for the upcoming season.
