Transfer News: Arsenal Offers Player, Money For West Brom’s Evans

Arsenal have offered £10million, plus Mathieu Debuchy to West Brom for defender, Jonny Evans.

Already Wenger’s has seen Theo Walcott and Alexis Sanchez leave the club this month but gained Henrikh Mkhitaryan in return from Manchester United.

Daily Star quoted an insider at the Emirate as saying that the Frenchman is desperate to add to his attack with Borussia Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in view and bolster his defence with Evans.

West Brom are reluctant to sell former Manchester United title-winner but could lose the Northern Ireland international for as little as £3million in the summer should they lose their relegation battle.

Debuchy joined the Gunners in 2014 but a series of injuries, coupled with the emergence of Hector Bellerin has seen him play few matches.

Wenger is willing to allow the right-back to leave as part of a deal that would see Evans move in the opposite direction.
