Transfer Clasico: Man United planning to Hijack Aubameyang

And now, it is reported that Manchester Unite are readying plans to come into the picture for Pierre Emerick Aubameyang to rival Chelsea’s interest in the Barcelona man.

The report comes courtesy of the UK Sun as news comes of a potential deal the Blues are preparing that will involve using Marcos Alonso in a part exchange for Aubameyang.

Barcelona are looking to get a transfer fee in the region of €25m (£21m) to €28m (23m) for the 33-year-old.

Manchester United believe they stand a chance to challenge Chelsea for the signing of Aubameyang but face the uphill task of convincing him to switch to Old Trafford.

The Red Devils on current form face the great task of convincing anyone to join them, considering they are in the Europa League and facing challenging times in the Premier League with new manager, Erik ten Hag.

Man United hoping to hijack a move for the former Arsenal man ahead of Chelsea would take quite a lot to offer Aubameyang on personal terms and a deal to beat Chelsea’s.

The move for Aubameyang may be in response to the uncertainty on Ronaldo’s future at Old Trafford.

That said, Chelsea might be in for another transfer clasico again.
