Tragic bus accident at UNILORIN gate leaves students injured (VIDEO)

A bus carrying students overturned near the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) on Thursday, leaving several casualties.

According to a student who spoke with FIJ over the phone, the accident occurred close to the school gate.

The eyewitness mentioned, “About 11 people were on the bus, but I cannot say exactly the number of people involved in the crash.”

Video footage obtained by FIJ showed the overturned bus beside the school’s zoo, with one passenger appearing unconscious and two others visibly injured. Initial speculation among students suggested a fatality, but reports indicate all injured individuals were promptly taken for medical treatment.

In a now-deleted post on X, UNILORIN Campus Union of Journalists (UCJ) stated that no deaths had been confirmed and urged caution against premature conclusions about the incident.
