Toyin Abraham, Mercy Aigbe solicits financial support for Kemi Afolabi

Nollywood actresses Toyin Abraham and Mercy Aigbe have taken to Instagram to solicit financial support for colleague, Kemi Afolabi.

The actresses announced that a Gofundme account had been opened to support her Kemi Afolabi in getting treatment for her illness.

In an interview with Chude Jideonwo, Afolabi had revealed that she had been diagnosed with the autoimmune disease called lupus.

In the interview, she also revealed that due to the illness she had just five years to live.

Afolabi also revealed that she spent N1.2 million on medications weekly to manage the illness, adding that she had sold her cars, property, and business to afford the treatment.

She added that she had received support from colleagues including Funke Akindele, Toyin Abraham and Mercy Aigbe.

Posting a video of the interview, Abraham called on her fans to support Afolabi with their donations.

Aigbe also posted the same video stating, “Hello everyone, we need your help, Kemi needs your help and support. She is my very good friend, sister and colleague @kemiafolabiadesipe please kindly support us by clicking the link in my bio for the go fund acct or you can use the Nigeria account below.”
