Tottenham Hotspur goes poker with Bayern over Harry Kane
The transfer market receives another shocker in the move of Harry Kane to Bayern Munich as Tottenham Hotspur pulls in a stunner to revoke the England striker’s permission to fly to Germany.
The report comes after Harry Kane was widely reported to be on his way to the airport to fly to Munich for medicals that will see him complete the move to the Bundesliga.
However, the North London side is said to be asking for changes in the deal, leaving Harry Kane waiting at the airport for the move to be finalized by Tottenham Hotspur.
The situation however is complicated as Spurs’ chairman, Daniel Levy is in the USA with the difference in time zone likely to complicate things.
The move to Bayern Munich had already been approved of by Spurs for a €100m fee plus €20m add-ons deal on a 4-year contract.
Talks were reportedly positive over night with medicals already booked in Germany this morning before the North London side pulled a poker to frustrate agreements that were made over night.
The drama however continues as Harry Kane lies in wait at his family home close to the airport awaiting a greenlight.
Should the move be fast-tracked, Harry Kane leaves Spurs having scored 280 goals in 435 appearances, including 30 in the Premier League as the team finished in eighth place last season.
Kane could double his wages to around £480,000-a-week, according to reports if the move happens.
