Premier League top scorers 2022/23 Season

The English Premier League resumes hostilities this weekend with match week 30, bringing us another weekend of football from Europe’s most watched league.

The excitement this weekend builds on how the league standings go, with an eye on the title chase between Manchester City and Arsenal, and also how Manchester United will factor in their top 4 chase against the likes of Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur, and underdogs that are Brighton.

Also interesting will be how Everton reacts in their chase for premier league survival against the likes of Leicester City, West Ham, Southampton, and Bournemouth.

Chelsea will also attract interest owing to Super Frankie’s return to the helm of things.

Here go our predictions for the Premier League weekend of games:

Manchester United12:30Everton; the Old Trafford side kicks off things after a narrow win in week day against Brentford at the Theatre of Dreams. United will start things at lunch time and will be hoping to surprise Sean Dyche’s side.

We predict this is a banana slip for Manchester United but we do not foresee a loss at home to Everton. A 2-0, 2-1 win will set things in motion for Erik ten Hag’s side for the weekend.

Aston Villa15:00Nottingham Forest will see Unai Emery’s side clinch on a 2-0 win at home to Nottingham Forest. Forest have proved a tough side this season, albeit at home against Premier League rivals.

Brentford15:00Newcastle United will be a dicey affair, with Brentford looking to build things from their defeat to Manchester United. However, Newcastle have Europe in mind, so we predict a tense match that could force out a 2-1 win in favor of Brentford who will be playing at home.

Fulham15:00West Ham United, brings us a London derby as the Hammers go away to Fulham who will be missing Mitrovic following his 8-match ban. We predict a 1-1 draw or West Ham United stealing all the 3 points with a 0-2 win.

Leicester City15:00Bournemouth, will see Leicester City hope to beat Bournemouth post Brendan Rodgers era with likely a 3-1 win. We predict however that Bournemouth might pull a shock in the foxes by scoring first.

Tottenham Hotspur15:00Brighton and Hove Albion, this will be another tense match that we foresee might go incredibly wrong for Spurs. Brighton ironically as it sounds could stun Tottenham with a 0-3 win, or end with a goalless draw.

Wolverhampton Wanderers15:00Chelsea, the return of Frank Lampard will see Chelsea pull out a 1-2 win on the road in our predictions, but we predict Wolves scoring first to excite the weekend’s audience.

Southampton17:30Manchester City, this game has Pep Guardiola all shaken in his press conference, and fair play to Southampton, they have seen themselves become something of a boogey team for Manchester City at tail ends of the league.

With Guardiola unsure of the result that Arsenal will pull out against Manchester City, he will go all out to beat Southampton who will rather be defensive to avoid the relegation spot.

A surprising goalless draw might follow in this game or City with a 1-2 win.

Sunday 9th April, will bring us the excitement, presumably making itself a Super-Sunday to celebrate the Easter fiesta.

Leeds United14:00Crystal Palace will start the day’s games with Leeds looking to place themselves in a better spot, likewise will Palace.

Crystal Palace will be coming off a new manager bounce and might likely pull off a 0-2 win on the day.

Liverpool16:30Arsenal will be the game that either wins Arsenal the premier league title or puts unnecessary pressure in the gunners.

Topnaija however predicts a 0-2 win for the Gunners who could be helped by a shaky Liverpool defense and close VAR calls to become the first top 6 side to win the Reds at Anfield this season.
