Edo police detain 16-year-old for poisoning ex-boyfriend, friends
The Edo State Police Command has taken a 16-year-old girl, Aisha Suleiman, into custody following allegations that she fatally poisoned her ex-boyfriend, Emmanuel, and four other young men in the Afashio community of the Etsako West Local Government Area.
TopNaija reported the tragic events that unfolded on October 26, 2024, when Emmanuel’s father, Mr. Elogie Ezekiel, arrived at his son’s residence around 6:30 a.m. to find several lifeless bodies inside. Fuel pricing: Okupe urges oil marketers to stop blaming Tinubu
Dr. Doyin Okupe, a former presidential spokesman, has called on the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) and oil marketers to avoid actions that could reflect poorly on President Bola Tinubu.

Ondo Guber: INEC to deploy 4,814 BVAS, approves 700 journalists
Ahead of the November 16, Ondo Governorship election, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced plans to deploy 4,814 Bimodal Voter Accreditation System machines.
A senior INEC official, who anonymously spoke to Saturday PUNCH, stated that the commission was fully prepared to facilitate an efficient electoral process across the state’s 3,933 polling units and 222 collation centres. Read more here.
