August 1: Tinubu holds emergency meeting to stop protest
The EndSars protests still lingers in the minds of politicians and the current administration, and even President Bola Tinubu is frightened of letting a repeat take place on the 1st of August.

Providus Bank MD, Walter Akpani risks jail for alleged disobedience of court order
Walter Akpani, the Chief Executive Officer of Providus Bank Limited, faces potential imprisonment over the bank’s alleged failure to unfreeze bank accounts belonging to Energen Oil and Gas Limited and Applause Global Services Nig, Ltd.

Nationwide protest: Wike breaks silence, describes protest as ‘politically induced’
Nyesom Wike, minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has finally breaks his silence on the planned nationwide protest scheduled for August 1.

Brain Jotter, the Nigerian comedian has denied claims that he made over N400 million off ‘Gwo Gwo Ngwo’ dance , a song by ace musician Mike ‘Gentleman’ Ejeagha titled ‘Ka Esi Le Onye Isi Oche’.

The bodies of five people have been recovered after a plane carrying 19 passengers crashed at an airport in Nepal’s Kathmandu, Topnaija.ng gathered.
