NSCDC defeats Police in national showdown

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) on Tuesday defeated the Nigerian Police Force in the final bout of the Greco-Roman category 63 kg at the maiden Comptroller General of Customs Military/Paramilitary Wrestling Championship.

The event held at the Indoor Sports Hall, Package B of the Moshood saw Alfred Parkistan of NSCDC winning Okasha Sani of Nigerian Police 10-0 in a one-sided contest. Read more here.

NNPCL expands CNG stations nationwide by 40 units

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has acquired equipment to establish 40 new Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) stations across the country, in a bid to boost the adoption of CNG as an alternative fuel.

This was revealed by Oluwagbemi Michael, Programme Director and CEO of the Presidential Compressed Natural Gas Initiative (PCNGI), during an event in Ogun State. Read more here.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has rescheduled its National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting from Oct 24 to Nov. 28.

FG stops LPG exports to lower cooking gas prices

The Federal Government has announced the suspension of locally produced Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) exports, prioritizing domestic supply in a bid to curb rising cooking gas prices in Nigeria.

Nigerian Airlines source jet fuel from Dangote refinery

Airline Operators in Nigeria have started purchasing Jet A1 fuel from Dangote’s refinery, a move aimed at reducing reliance on costly imported fuel.
