Jigawa commissioner arrested for adultery in Kano State
The Kano State Hisbah Board arrested and imprisoned Jigawa Commissioner of Special Duties, Auwal Danladi Sankara, for reportedly committing adultery with a married woman, Tasleem Baba Nabegu.
The Jigawa Commissioner arrested for adultery was found red-handed with Nabegu in an unfinished building he owned. Read more here.
FBN Holdings revises rights issue proposal amid legal challenges
FBN Holdings Plc has submitted a revised application for its proposed Rights Issue to the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) following the suspension of the original offer due to a court injunction from an aggrieved shareholder.
The updated proposal seeks to issue 5,982,548,799 ordinary shares at 50 kobo each, priced at N25 per share, replacing the earlier plan to offer 8,973,823,198 ordinary shares at N15.50 each. Read more here.
Nigerian exchange closes with marginal loss, ASI down by 0.01%
The Nigerian Exchange (NGX) closed its latest trading session with a marginal loss, as the All-Share Index (ASI) fell by 11.10 points, settling at 98,070.28.

Chevron Nigeria has announced a new oil discovery in the Niger Delta, with a production potential of up to 17,000 barrels per day.
