Top PDP Chairman Murdered By Suspected Gunmen

  Suspected gunmen killed the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ife/Akpodim/Chokoneze Ward, Ezinihitte Mbaise council area, Imo State, Smith Chiedoziem Anyanwu.

Anyanwu was fatally shot in his country home in Ezinihitte Mbaise by two gunmen in the presence of his wife.

The gunmen, arriving on a motorbike, enquired about his whereabouts, and upon receiving information, shot him point-blank before fleeing the scene.

The incident has created fear in the community, leading to residents deserting the area.

The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) is yet to respond to inquiries on the matter.
