Top APC chieftain dies in Abuja (PHOTO)

A top APC chieftain and former secretary to the Zamfara State Government (SSG), Prof. Abdullahi Shinkafi is dead.

Shinkafi, also a former Commissioner for Religious Affairs during the administration of Abdulaziz Yari, died on Saturday in Abuja after a brief illness.

Senator Abdul’aziz Yari (APC-Zamfara) has condoled with the bereaved family.

Yari, while speaking at the APC stakeholders’ meeting in Talata-Mafara town on Sunday, described Shinkafi’s death as a great loss to the state and Nigeria in general.

“Shinkafi contributed immensely to the development of the state and Nigeria in general.

“May Almighty Allah grant Aljannatul Firdausi to the deceased, forgive his shortcomings and give his family the fortitude to bear the loss.

“We extend our condolences to the immediate family of the deceased and the people of the state,” he said.
