Tony Umez takes Airtel to Social Media Court

Tony Umez may be remembered as a Nollywood veteran actor but right now, he is just an angry Airtel user who has decided to take the network to the social media jury.

The Nollywood actor who proceeded to vent on the service provider for frustrating him, revealed on his Instagram page for fans and the world to see the injustice he was facing.

Tony Umez took his rant personally, expressing his frustration on howt the mobile service provider has wiped out his bonus and kept on changing his service plan without his consent.

According to the Nollywood veteran, he has lost thousands of naira as a result and any time he calls the customer service to complain they were always in the habit of apologizing and hanging up on him.

In his rant, Tony Umez wrote:

“I AM PISSED, I AM VERY ANGRY RIGHT NOW, AT MY MOBILE SERVICE PROVIDER, AIRTEL,

“THEY WILL MOVE ME FROM A PLAN TO ANOTHER PLAN WITHOUT NOTIFYING ME, WHEN I LAY A COMPLAIN, THE OPERATOR CUT THE PHONE ON ME AFTER THE USUAL APOLOGY,

“‘EH I AM SORRY, WE HAD TO UPGRADE YOU’, UPGRADE ME WITHOUT MY CONSENT …THEY DO THIS ON A REGULAR, AM PISSED AND VERY ANGRY…THEY HAVE TAKEN ME BACK TO THAT PLAN BUT THEY HAVE WIPED OUT ALMOST 22000 NAIRA BONUS’”

With the service provider being called out on social media, its PR team will definitely take the matters personally to avoid contents being created that could negatively affect the brand in future.
