Tinubu Will Never Sit On Our Mandate – Georgina Onuoha
Nollywood actress Georgina Onuoha has expressed her dissatisfaction with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for declaring Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, as the winner of the recently concluded presidential elections. Onuoha shared her thoughts in a video posted on her Instagram page where she voiced her frustration over the outcome of the election.
According to the video compilation shared by the actress, Tinubu had said that he will never sit on the presidential throne. Georgina Onuoha claimed that Nigeria has been “raped” as a nation and that justice and fairness have been denied. She described the presidential election as a criminal and a sham.
Onuoha further expressed her disappointment with INEC, stating that the electoral body had stolen the people’s mandate. She concluded by saying that Tinubu is not her president.
INEC declared Tinubu as the president-elect in the early hours of Wednesday, March 1. The former Lagos State governor emerged victorious after defeating his counterparts, Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in a tightly contested race. Tinubu scored 8,805,420 votes to emerge victorious.
The declaration of Tinubu as the president-elect has elicited mixed reactions from Nigerians. While some have congratulated him, others have criticized INEC for its handling of the election. Onuoha’s video has also sparked conversations on social media platforms.
In her Instagram post, Georgina Onuoha wrote: “You will never sit on this throne Tinubu. Lord we’ve been raped as a nation and denied justice and fairness. How? This is criminal… This is a sham. NOT my President @inecnigeria you stole our mandate.”
