Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reacted to the death of two party chieftains identified as Abdul-Sobur Olawale popularly known as Omititi and Chief Juliana Awodogan, popularly known as Iya Oniyan.

Omititi who is a two-term lawmaker representing Mushin constituency II at the Lagos State House of Assembly, slumped and died during the APC presidential campaign flagoff on Tuesday in Jos, Plateau.

Iya Oniyan, an influential grassroot mobilizer of the APC died after a brief illness on Tuesday at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH).

She was in her 70s.

Reacting to the deaths of the party chieftains, Tinubu said Omititi was a committed lawmaker, loyal party faithful, and unrelenting in his support for the growth and development of Lagos State and Nigeria.

“I sympathise with his family and constituents, and pray the Almighty comforts those he left behind while granting him eternal rest,” the APC presidential candidate stated.
