Tinubu: I’m emotional and happy

Asiwaju Bola Tinubu took out time to specially thank God for sparing his life at the party house yesterday during a welcome party organized for him by the government. He said “I am now hale and hearty.”

The National leader of the All Progressives Congress said, “I am a little emotional but I am happy. God is the giver of life and he is the only one who can take it.

“And God says ‘if I have granted you life and the privilege and you live this life, I am the only one who can take it from you if you don’t use it in the way and manner that promotes humanity.’ God can give power to anyone He wants.

“He has spared us till today and has given us the privileged of the day. I thank him. I cannot praise him better than any of and all of your voices, but I am standing before you hale, hearty and big.

“Thank you very much. It is just the day of joy for me, it is a day and we are here thanking God the Almighty… may God bless all of you, I am grateful and I thank God Almighty.”

Speaking, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, said Lagosians would have come in large number to welcome Tinubu if not that he wanted to manage the crowd and make his return low-key.

Also at the gathering were Lagos State Firstlady , Ibijoke; Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat; his wife Oluremi; former Lagos deputy governor, Mrs Idiat Adebule; House of Representatives Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila; Lagos State House of Assembly Speaker, Mudashiru Obasa; Senator Olamilekan Solomon, among others.

Oladunjoye congratulates Tinubu

A chieftain of the Ogun State Chapter of All Progressives Congress, Tunde Oladunjoye, has congratulate Tinubu, on his safe return to Nigeria after a successful surgery in London.

Oladunjoye, who is also the APC Publicity Secretary in Ogun State, remarked that the “successful operation and safe arrival of our national leader has put paid to the mischievous rumours that pervaded the political landscape about the state of his health.”

He added, “It is gratifying that Asiwaju has not only fully healed from the knee surgery, he has expressed his full commitment to, as usual, doing his part of advancing the cause of progressive and democratic governance throughout our beloved nation.”

Oladunjoye expressed appreciation to all those who physically visited Tinubu in London, “especially President Muhammadu Buhari, Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, Senator Olamilekan Yayi and other members of the National Assembly.”

The All Progressives Congress is one of the two major contemporary political parties in Nigeria, along with its main rival, the People’s Democratic Party. It was founded on 6 February 2013
