Timo Werner Chelsea exit nears as Leipzig deal agreed

The memes were created, the criticisms were made but it appears Timo Werner Chelsea career is over now as reports confirm the Blues have reached full agreement to sell the German permanently to former club, RB Leipzig.

The report comes courtesy of Italian journalist, Fabrizio Romano who revealed through his social media handle of the behind the scenes deal to force the player out of the club ahead of the 2022/23 season.

The transfer expert wrote on his timeline stating:

“RB Leipzig are set to reach full agreement with Chelsea for Timo Werner, here we go! ⚪️🔴🤝”

Fabrizio Romano also confirms that the deal unlike the speculations had prior stated won’t be a loan move but a permanent move from the club to the Bundesliga side.

He also confirms that Chelsea and RB Leipzig are in the process of discussing the final details in order to get the deal done next week.

Personal terms have been agreed upon with Timo Werner since more than a month ago, revealing the German really wanted the move and only wanted to return there.

After an underwhelming spell at Chelsea, the move back to RB Leipzig will come as quite the relief for the Chelsea attacker who has seen himself the object of criticisms and ridicule throughout his stay in London.
