Following President Joe Biden’s announcement of his withdrawal from the 2024 elections, Democrats are now presenting a united front with former speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi throwing her weight behind Vice President Kamala Harris.

Nancy Pelosi who had reportedly not been a fan of Joe Biden’s re-election bid, did not hesitate to endorse Kamala Harris as the Democratic presidential candidate for the November polls. Pelosi’s endorsement comes on the heels of President Joe Biden’s decision to step down from the race, citing health and performance concerns, and subsequently throwing his support behind Harris.

Pelosi took to X to rally the Democratic Party, stating: “Today I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year. Democrats — it’s time to come together and beat Trump.”

With Pelosi’s influential backing, Harris’s campaign gains substantial momentum as the Democratic Party aims to unify and defeat former President Donald Trump in the upcoming election. As the race heats up, Harris’s candidacy marks a pivotal moment in the political landscape.

However, speeches and Twitter endorsements has its extent in assuring victory for the Democratic Party or for Harris. Though, the support base is growing for Harris, Trump still remains a formidable opponent.
