Tim Godfrey reflects on how far he has come

Tim Godfrey is unarguably one of the richest and blessed gospel acts in Nigeria today–afterall, it’s not easy to buy brand new cars for your squad.

A few months ago, Tim Godfrey gave out brand new cars to seven of his most loyal band members. According to him, he couldn’t be living a luxurious life while his team members were still using public transports, thus the reason for buying them the car.

But very few people know his story or his past struggles. The gospel act took to his Instagram to share a bit about where he’s coming from.

Saw this and I was in tears… I remember people laughing at me.
People said I was wasting my life.
Some said i wasn’t good enough.
Countless times… I was rejected.
A lot of people walked away.
I wore one black trouser for over 3 years as an artist.

In life, I have learnt not to take anybody for granted…
